FAQ

Do I need a membership to make a reservation?

No, memberships are not needed to make a reservation.

 

Where can I view rates? 

Rates vary based on site type, site location and preferred dates similar to the hotel industry. You can check the rates for your preferred details by visiting clicking the book now button. 

 

How do I get to the resort?

There are 2 routes to get to the Bolivar Beach Club & RV Resort.
We recommend taking Interstate 10 to Winnie. Take exit 828 from I-10 and follow TX-124 S to State Highway 87.
The 2nd option is to take the ferry by driving through Galveston via Interstate 45 South. Please be aware of ferry wait times by clicking here. The ferry is a great way to visit Bolivar Peninsula but wait times can be long.

 

Can I take my RV on the ferry?

Yes, the ferry can accommodate a maximum overall weight of 80,000 pounds. The maximum height is 13.6 feet, width is 13 feet and length is 80 feet

 

What time is check in and check out?

Check-in starts at 3:00 PM 

Check-out is 11:00 AM

 

Do you have Wi-fi?

Yes, we are fortunate to have AT&T Fiber running to our property which allows for great Wi-Fi service for our guests.

 

Do you have full hookups?

Yes, every site is full hook up with 20-30-50 amps with sewer and water.

 

How big are your spaces?

Most of our spaces average over 60 feet in length and each come with a patio.

 

Can I reserve a specific spot? 

Yes, we offer a lock fee to reserve a specific site. Please select that option when you make your reservation online. If you need help, please reach out to us at Reservations@BolivarBeachClub.com

 

Do you have restrictions on the type of RV? 

Yes, all RV’s must be fully self-contained and are subject to an exterior inspection upon arrival. No tarps or tents are allowed.  Sorry, no pop-ups campers.

 

Do you have pull-through spaces? 

Yes, we do have pull-through spaces available. Please select pull-through options while booking your reservation.

 

Do you rent RVs? 

No, we do not offer RV rentals at this time.

 

Can you access the beach from your property?

Yes. We are truly one of a few beachfront properties on the TX Gulf Coast. Our resort has a dune crossover that will allow guests to walk and/or drive golf carts to the beach.

 

Can you drive golf carts on the beach?

Yes, that is one of the most amazing amenities that we have is that you are allowed to drive vehicles on the beach. If you drive a vehicle, a beach pass will need to be purchased for $10. If driving a golf cart, you do not need the pass. 

We will have a new fleet of  lifted golf carts designed to drive on the beach available for rent.  Golf carts can be rented at the time of your reservation or you can reach out to us at Reservations@BolivarBeachClub.com to add a rental to your stay.

 

Can I bring my golf cart or ATV?

At this time, we will not allow guests to bring their own golf carts/ATV/UTV’s. We will have a new fleet of  lifted golf carts designed to drive on the beach available for rent.  Golf carts can be rented at the time of your reservation or you can reach out to us at Reservations@BolivarBeachClub.com to add a rental to your stay.

 

What will be open in November?

Our Camp Store that will carry necessities and snacks, the resort shower facility that will include 16 private family style bathrooms with showers, laundry facility, and gym will all be open for our first guests in November.
Beach Club amenities including the pool, restaurants, clubhouse and turf field are scheduled to open Spring 2022.

 

How do I set up a group reservation?

Please reach out to us at Reservations@BolivarBeachClub.com to set up your group’s reservation.

 

Do you have on-site restrooms and showers? 

Yes, we have a shower facility that provides families with private bathroom and shower accommodations. No reservation needed.

 

What food options are available? 

We will have an on-site camp store that will carry necessities, snacks and drinks. We will have camping essentials like hot dogs and s’mores as well as a variety of beer and wine. Our full scale grocery market will open in 2022.

 

Do you have cable TV available? 

No, we do not have cable TV, but with our Wi-Fi you can stream any of your favorite TV apps.

 

Is fishing allowed? 

Yes, bring your fishing pole and bait or we have them here for purchase. You do need a fishing license to fish within the resort and on the beach. Please check the Texas Park and Wildlife website for more information.

 

Can you swim in the lakes?

At this time, we do not allow swimming in the lakes. 

 

Do you have on-site security? 

Yes, we will have on-site security 24-hours a day.

 

What is your pet policy?

What is your cancellation policy?

Reservations may be cancelled or changed fifteen (15) days or more prior to the scheduled arrival date and will receive a refund in the full amount of the reservation, less a non-refundable $25 booking fee. Any reservation that is cancelled or changed less than fifteen (15) days and more than seven (7) days prior to the scheduled arrival date, will be issued a voucher in the full amount of the reservation, less a non-refundable $25 booking fee. All vouchers are valid and redeemable within one calendar year from the date of the original reservation. All cancellations and changes to the reservation must be made by sending an email to Reservations@BolivarBeachClub.com.

A reservation cancelled within seven (7) days of the scheduled arrival date will result in the full amount of the reservation being forfeited.

Camping is an outdoor experience and accordingly we do not offer refunds due to the whims of Mother Nature.
